At Classical Music Chicago, we are continuously evolving to better fulfill our mission of opening the door to the transformative power of classical music for people of all ages, backgrounds, and means. As we look to the future, we are focusing our efforts on bringing world-class classical music performances to every corner of Chicago and supporting the next generation of classical musicians.

As part of this renewed effort that focuses on bringing new programs and musical offerings to an expanded audience, we have made the thoughtful decision to discontinue Make Music Chicago.

Make Music Chicago has been a joyous and inclusive celebration of music in our city. It has brought together musicians of all genres to share their love of music in public spaces throughout Chicago. However, as we continue to refine our focus, we recognize that Make Music Chicago no longer aligns with our mission of presenting world-class classical music and fostering the development of young professional classical musicians.

While we bid farewell to this program, we remain committed to bringing free classical music to all Chicagoans, particularly to those who may not otherwise have access to live performances. We also continue to provide support and performance opportunities to the next generation of classical musicians.
